Meet our team
David
Program Director, Math Wizard
Hi, I’m David. I have 14+ years of math teaching experience, in Canada, UK and China. I taught at the #1 math tutoring company in North America, before founding MathClub.ca in 2021
Originally from the UK, I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics and Statistics and I am a CPA qualified accountant
I teach all grades, from the very beginning all the way through high school. I have experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD
In my spare time I enjoy board games, drawing, reading hiking, and spending time with my three cats, Solomon, Sara and Rafi

Hana
Hi my name is Hana. I’m a fourth year Computer Engineering student at the University of Toronto
I have been tutoring for many years now in math, science and piano
I love to help students learn things from new perspectives. I really enjoy experiencing the ‘Aha’ moment when students understand a topic
My goal is to help students learn topics at an intuitive level, to raise their confidence with math, since math is a life skill
In my spare time, I like to read and cook

Sara
Hi, I’m Sara! I’m currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science and management
My passion lies in helping students grasp new mathematical concepts and build the confidence they need to excel in their studies. I believe in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and face challenges head-on
Outside of tutoring, I have a passion for live performances, love immersing myself in books, and learning new languages!
Nafis
Hi, my name is Nafis! I’m a third year student at Toronto Metropolitan University majoring in Computer Engineering
I am experienced in teaching math to students across all grades, including elementary school grades as I previously taught at Kumon
Whenever I teach students, I always strive to create a supportive learning environment
I love teaching students because I am able to share my passion for learning while helping others grasp new concepts. It’s also rewarding seeing students gain confidence as they learn new topics

Daniel
Hi everyone, my name is Daniel! I am a current 4th year undergraduate student studying Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. I love to talk about all things STEM, and hope that I can help others develop a lifelong passion.
I have experience tutoring high school math, chemistry, biology, and physics. When I'm not tutoring, I love to do research with the kinesiology department at U of T, work out, and relax with my pet bird.
I'm excited to work with you in fostering a supportive learning environment! I hope that together we can get through any learning barriers and develop good study habits out of a love for learning.
Oriana
Hi, I’m Oriana! I recently graduated from the University of Toronto, specialised in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology.
I have a diverse range of teaching experiences, from teaching children in summer camps and tutoring in math and science, to mentoring university level students.
I am passionate about helping people learn new ways to think about math. I believe learning how to solve a mathematical problem allows children to be able to be more confident in their schoolwork, and excel in all other areas of learning.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons, painting, crocheting, and reading

Ritika
Hi, I’m Ritika! I’ve been tutoring math for several years, helping students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of the subject
I take the time to adapt to each student’s learning style, ensuring a comfortable pace while encouraging progress
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a Master’s in Molecular Genetics. My academic background has equipped me with a strong foundation in logical thinking, which I use to break down challenging math concepts into simple, manageable steps
Marium
With 6+ year of tutoring experience, I specialize in guiding students through Math, General Science, and Physics
My journey in math wasn’t straightforward; I struggled significantly in middle to high school. It took a lot of hard work and baby steps to go from struggling in math to acing it, which eventually led me into engineering. So, I really understand the challenge of starting from the basics in math and working your way up
Outside of tutoring, I dive into fictional novels, and am a movie and TV enthusiast, especially the Marvel movies

Rania
Hi there! My name’s Rania. I am in my second year at University of Toronto. Most of my friends describe me as energetic, which I think is one of the main reasons I can connect with young students
I was a Teacher Assistant at a daycare for 2 years where I taught children from 3 to 7 years old. I deeply connected with every child and my interest in tutoring came from this experience
In my free time, I often indulge in creative projects, such as songwriting, playing the piano, simple paintings, etc.
Wasfiah
Hi! I’m Wasfiah 👋 I’m a Mechanical Engineering student at York University. I’ve had a strong passion for math for as long as I can remember.
My goal is to help students feel confident and empowered, knowing that every problem has a path to the solution
Back in high school, I was the president of the Math Club, where I organized events and helped students with tricky problems
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy acrylic painting, cooking, and baking (where precision and creativity go hand in hand, just like in math!)

Chelsea
Hi, my name is Chelsea 🙂
I am a fourth year student at the University of Toronto majoring in English and minoring in math
I have a lot of experience working with younger kids including those with special needs. I love helping people and getting to know them and I hope to make learning math as painless as possible!
In my free time, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, and walking around Toronto
We are a diverse team of experienced math instructors located in Toronto
Everyone on the team is passionate about supporting and empowering students to succeed
