David

Program Director, Math Wizard

Hi, I’m David. I have 15+ years of math teaching experience, in Canada, UK and China. I taught at the #1 math tutoring company in North America, before founding MathClub.ca in 2021

Originally from the UK, I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics and Statistics and I am a CPA qualified accountant

I teach all grades, from the very beginning all the way through high school. I have experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD

In my spare time I enjoy board games, drawing, reading, hiking, and spending time with my three cats, Solomon, Sara and Rafi

Annika

Hello! My name is Annika

I am a third-year student at the University of Toronto pursuing Life Sciences, and I am an aspiring Pediatric Dentist

I’ve always loved working with kids and being a positive mentor in their lives. Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience with children in both clinical and academic settings, which has strengthened my ability to connect and communicate effectively.

Having struggled with math myself in middle school, I understand how challenging it can be, but I also know how rewarding it is to finally get it. That experience has helped me develop a patient approach to teaching math, and I’m excited to help students build confidence and succeed!

Sara

Hi, I’m Sara! I’m currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science and management

My passion lies in helping students grasp new mathematical concepts and build the confidence they need to excel in their studies. I believe in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and face challenges head-on

Outside of tutoring, I have a passion for live performances, love immersing myself in books, and learning new languages!

Robert

Hi, my name is Robert! I'm a second-year student at the University of Toronto, double majoring in Cell & Molecular Biology and Applied Genetics & Biotechnology

I've tutored math and sciences at various grade levels in Canada and Europe. I'm passionate about helping students build a strong foundation to find their own path toward success

Outside of school, I'm passionate about sports and love digging into biomedical engineering books in my spare time. I'm also fluent in conversational French and Russian.

Chelsea

Hi, my name is Chelsea

I graduated from the University of Toronto majoring in English and minoring in math

I have a lot of experience tutoring math across all grade levels, including those with special needs. I love helping people and getting to know them and I hope to make learning math as painless as possible!

In my free time, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, and walking around Toronto

Yanaj

Hi! I'm Yanaj, a third year student at the University of Toronto majoring in Actuarial Science and Economics. I have experience tutoring math from elementary level to university level

I believe that math becomes much easier when you understand why and how something works rather than memorizing how to do it. I want to create a comfortable environment for my students for them to feel confident asking questions

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and exploring new areas around Toronto.

Shreya
Hi there, I'm Shreya! I'm a third-year student at the University of Toronto studying Computer Science with a minor in math.

I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in high school, and have tutored 15+ students from elementary through high school, including the Ontario and IB curriculum.

I love helping students reach that "aha" moment when a concept finally clicks and math starts to feel intuitive instead of intimidating. My goal is to build both skills and confidence, so students walk into their next test (or their next chapter) without dreading it :)

Outside of tutoring, I love reading sci-fi novels, watching spy movies, and biking my way through nature!

Rania

Hi there! My name’s Rania. I am in my second year at University of Toronto. Most of my friends describe me as energetic, which I think is one of the main reasons I can connect with young students

I was a Teacher Assistant at a daycare for 2 years where I taught children from 3 to 7 years old. I deeply connected with every child and my interest in tutoring came from this experience

In my free time, I often indulge in creative projects, such as songwriting, playing the piano, simple paintings, etc.

Lea
Hi, I am Lea!
I'm in my fourth year at the University of Toronto studying Cell & Molecular biology, aspiring to become a medical physician one day.
Math and science were at times challenging in high school, but I found my own ways to make studying fun and be successful within these courses.
I love sharing my tips and advice with the students I tutor, and watching them become successful and enjoy learning again is the best part of my day.
When I am not tutoring, I love to act, ski, volunteer, or make music.
Nafis

Hi, my name is Nafis! I’m a third year student at Toronto Metropolitan University majoring in Computer Engineering

I am experienced in teaching math to students across all grades, including elementary school grades as I previously taught at Kumon

Whenever I teach students, I always strive to create a supportive learning environment

I love teaching students because I am able to share my passion for learning while helping others grasp new concepts. It’s also rewarding seeing students gain confidence as they learn new topics

We are a diverse team of experienced math instructors located in Toronto

Everyone on the team is passionate about supporting and empowering students to succeed

Ariaman

Hi, I am Ariaman. I am a third-year student at the University of Toronto, studying Human Biology and Physiology.

I have been teaching mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. My focus is on communicating practical, everyday applications of scientific concepts, which makes the learning process enjoyable, intuitive, and purposeful.

Additionally, I believe in customizing lesson content to align with each student’s individual interests and goals.

In my free time, I enjoy reading novels, scientific journals and articles, playing sports, and occasionally going fishing

Patricia

Hi, I'm Patricia! I'm a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto, specializing in Architecture with a minor in Math.

I've always liked the problem-solving side of math, especially the feeling of finally figuring out why something works rather than just memorizing how to do it. As a tutor, I like working through problems together and finding different ways to explain things until we find one that makes sense for the student. I'm also a big believer that being "bad at math" is usually a lot less permanent than it feels.

Outside of school, I'm usually doing something with my hands. I love all kinds of fibre arts, including crochet, knitting, and sewing

Avi

Hi, I'm Avi! I am a third-year Physics Specialist and Math Major at the University of Toronto with over four years of tutoring experience.

My approach focuses on building motivation first. I believe that understanding why a concept matters makes the how click into place. I've worked with students from grade school to university, covering everything from calculus and mechanics to biology and chemistry.

In my free time I dabble in robotics, playing the violin, and sewing

Syeda

Hi! I'm Syeda, a University of Toronto Engineering Science student specializing in Engineering Physics. I currently work on research involving ultrafast lasers and their interactions with biomolecules, and designing chip components.

I've always loved teaching and mentorship, that moment when something confusing finally clicks. I focus on the why behind a problem, not just the how, so students build strong fundamentals and the confidence to tackle new challenges on their own.

Outside academics, I love playing jazz saxophone, cooking, reading, and exploring Toronto with friends.
